“Many of them have previously taken part in community work with MCA, such as mask distribution and sanitisation of community areas,” he said. “We want to encourage and give more opportunities to youths aged 15 to 25 to get involved in volunteerism.
State chief Ling Tian Soon said one unit each had been formed in Jementah, located in Segamat, with more than 50 members, and in Ayer Hitam with about 25 members so far. JOHOR MCA Youth plans to set up 15 volunteer units statewide to encourage youths to get involved in social work.
